Services
In- person Counselling
I have lovingly created a relaxing environment for you. My office is based in the East Kilbride area. The counselling room is easily accessible using public transport and offers free parking. I am located on the ground floor. Please see more information in the Contact section above.
Online Counselling
Working online has become increasingly popular in recent years, since the global COVID-19 pandemic. Clients have shared that it has enabled them to access counselling more readily if they are restricted with mobility problems or may live in remote locations. We will meet using a secure online platform and can discuss the details in your free 20 minute initial consultation
Fees
I offer short and long term counselling for adults and young people. We are all unique as individuals so our work together will be revised every 6 weeks.
Prices are £50 per session lasting 50 minutes. You will be offered a 20 minute free telephone consultation, prior to engaging with support. This is provided to enable you to ask any questions you may have regarding counselling and it will allow us to get to know one another before our first session together.
Weekend sessions will be charged at the same rate. All payments should be paid by bank transfer at least 24 hours before your sessions
My Approach
Using a psychodynamic approach, I aim to help you to understand how your current feelings, thoughts and behaviours are shaped by past experiences. I will encourage you to talk freely about whatever comes to mind. You can talk openly, honestly and without being judged. The patterns of what lies in your unconscious mind begins to emerge and we will then explore this together.
I understand the importance of establishing a confidential therapeutic relationship within a safe environment that offers acceptance and empathy. The aim is to enable you to experience a safe base to unravel any unresolved conflict and “join the dots” in order to achieve your goals., becoming empowered to develop confidence to bring about long lasting, positive change.
